Nostalgic memories of growing up at Willow Bog Farm somewhere in Northumberland in the 1940s and 1950s.

Well, up to the autumn of 1963 anyway. In the 1964 Elvis Annual (published by World Distributors) the author devotes nine pages to his own publishing achievements so far, along with details of his home town.

He even includes photos of his first end-terrace house and his current bungalow (which he had named “Graceland”) as well as his Record shop. If that article doesn’t deserve a place in my “Odd Stuff” folder, I don’t know what does.

Seventeen revisited

Nov 1, 2018

I spent half a day creating another music mix. It sounded ok but then I played an old one from five years ago which sounded much better. So it’s back to the drawing board for number 37 and here comes number 17 once more.

Bettie had her own style of “bump and grind” which she uses with particular effect dancing to The Seeds here.

It’s time for me to spin some discs too. Hear them right here.
