Sinclair Micromatic

This was claimed to be the worlds smallest when Clive Sinclair sold this matchbox-sized radio either fully built up or in kit form if you were feeling brave. I have mislaid mine but found the instruction leaflet recently.

This was produced in the late 1960s/early 1970s when the world of radio was mostly in mono and headphones with small jack plugs weren’t common.You had to listen through one ear with a hearing aid thingy as found at your local chemists.
