Half a Million

Yes, unbelievable but true. Any day now this humble blog will welcome it’s 500,000th view. Although to put things into perspective it has taken 14 years to reach that figure. Still half a million views by 86,000 visitors across 950 posts is an achievement of sorts. So to visitors old and new, even if you arrived here by accident…thankyou.

Then you can tell me goodbye

This reached No 28 in the UK charts in 1967. It sounds like and they look like it could have been recorded a decade earlier. It’s still a fab song. “sweeten my coffee with a morning kiss” is a great line. (The song was written by John D. Loudermilk).

London’s Dark

I missed this Graphic Novel when it was first published in 1989. Reading it recently I found the artwork and story were different enough to hold my interest, which is quite a compliment these days.

It was pretty much the first published work by artist and writer. The writer still writes for comics to this day. The artist packed it all in 20 years ago and chose a different profession entirely it seems.

Another Crash

There are a handful of songs that it seems quite difficult to do a bad cover version of. I have 100 cover versions of CeeLo Green’s “F*ck You” and love them all. I love slowed down acoustic versions of Crash but, dare I say it, this version matches the original. I know they are miming in the video but they certainly have the attitude. Did Plasticzooms ever make it big and if not why not?
